If large trees do not fit in the garden, there are smaller trees that will be planted in the garden instead of the large trees. Choose the variety of trees that will carry out an advantage for more than one season or choose the variety of trees that carry out their color, size, shape, and their fruits. Trees with tall shoots like conifers will show its beauty when planted with small and rounded bushes. The old trees will display its ancient and charmed maturity therefore representing a most treasured wooded garden. The trees with attractive barks make a beautiful sculptural design in the garden. Examples of fruit bearing trees are crab apples, japanese cherry and oranges, Prunus x yedoensis and Cercis siliquastrum. Big trees are Cupressus sempervirens, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, Betula pendula. Smaller trees are Genista aetnensis, Castanea sativa, Quercus cubra and Metrosideros excelsus.
