Digital photography transferred the developing of pictures from a darkroom to a computer desktop. With the use of a digital camera, there is not a need for a film in order to develop the pictures. The images taken by digital camera can be stored in a computer or compact discs, floppy drives or flash drives and be printed by the use of computer software and an inkjet photo printer. The digital camera has brought fast, easy and simple ways to edit images, develop multiple images and send images by email through internet and by mobile phones. The Digital camera and it's accessories to create photos Same as the traditional camera, the digital camera has shutters and lenses which are used to focus for taking pictures. The use of film on traditional camera is being faced out by the use of charge-coupled device. The charge-coupled device is an electronic light sensor in the digital camera that allows light into the camera for storing the pictures to the memory of the digital camera. The pixels are the light-sensitive dots that are contained in the charge-coupled device of a digital camera. These pixels produce images in various tones of colors. The consumer digital camera is designed to produce 24 bits or 256 levels of red, blue and green. The 24 bit which contains millions of colours is the colour level that a most current computer software can take. The images that are viewed in the computer only need 8 bit of colours which is smaller than 24 bit image even with the same counts of 256 levels of colours. Most consumer digital camera now comes with a removable storage memory card which can be read by a computer or television either through an internal or plug-in external card reader. After the images are stored in the hard drive, flash drives, compact disks, or floppy disks, the images can be erased from the memory card and the memory card can be reused again for images storage. If the digital camera has no removable memory card, the images can be transferred to the computer using a Universal Serial Bus(USB). A suitable computer software is required to download images in the computer. There are many software programs that are emerging in the market, from simple which are less expensive viewers, Photosuite, to the most sophisticated ones, Adobe Photoshop which are more expensive. Images downloaded from the digital camera and edited using the suited computer software can be printed using the inkjet photo printer. The results of images printed from the photo printer are excellent if using the right photo paper. Exploring the many uses of the digital camera and its software and inkjet printer is learning a lot about photography editing, retouching, special effects, transforming pictures, practical applications, greeting cards and much more. The digital photography gives many possibilities for making creative images and special effects to suit the decorations of the house. |
